Pastor Etta K. Thompson is a remarkable woman of faith, known for her unwavering dedication to God and her vibrant leadership in the church community. Born and raised in Northern Virginia, Pastor Thompson discovered her passion for ministry at a young age. She is a powerful woman of God whom with grace, commitment, and passion served alongside her husband, the late Apostle William H. Thomson, Jr., as the Co-Pastor of Greater Praise Temple Ministries for 34 years. During this time, Pastor Thompson became known for her undeniable anointing, nurturing spirit, and dedication to the work of the Lord.
She is also a renowned speaker, teaching and sharing her journey and insight at various conferences and workshops. She remains dedicated to her family, serving as a loving mother and grandmother, instilling values of faith and service in the next generation.
Ordained October 15th, 2017, she is committed to singing, preaching, and giving words of exaltation through praise and worship. God uses Pastor Thompson to reveal the powerful meaning of God’s love and inspiration. Through her prophetic gift, God has anointed Pastor Thompson to speak directly into the lives of many. Through her tireless sacrifice, she is committed to preaching the gospel of the kingdom to the entire world.
She is the founder of the “Keeping It Together” ministry, which serves as a platform for helping to develop married women of Godly virtue, and promoting sisterhood within the body of Christ.
Her favorite scripture is Lamentations, Ch. 3: 22-23, “It is of the Lords mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning. Great is thy faithfulness.” Through her resilience and faith, Pastor Thompson has become a beacon of hope and strength, demonstrating that with faith and perseverance, one can overcome challenges and lead others to Christ. As she continues this journey, her vision for the church remains focused on serving the community and sharing the message of God’s love.
